Online prep course. Course content is designed to meet knowledge requirements for practice and certification in critical care or progressive care nursing and as such, promotes continuing excellence in the nursing profession.
Course content is based on the current topic and certification blueprints established by the AACN. Learning activities will address clinical judgement in the areas of cardiovascular, pulmonary, endocrine, hematology/ immunology, neurology, gastrointestinal, renal, multisystem and psychosocial/ behavioral. The course explores concepts of professional caring and ethical practice in nursing.

The CCRN exam is not part of the course.
The CCRN exam eligibility requires 1,750 hours of direct bedside care of acutely or critically ill adult patients within the previous two years; with 875 of those hours accrued in the most recent year preceding application.
