Instructor Biography: Marcia Anderson
Marcia Anderson is an academic advisor in the Individualized B.A. program at Metropolitan State University, where she also coordinates student-directed learning, including Credit for Prior Learning options, for the College of Individualized Studies. Ms. Anderson teaches the university's one-credit course Metro 100: Getting Credit for What You Know, and coordinates the university's Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Advisory Committee. She has been a community faculty instructor and PLA evaluator for many years, served on the committee to develop the current MnSCU CPL policy and procedure, and has presented about CPL and student-directed learning at CAEL anc CAPLA conferences. Ms. Anderson earned her Master's degree in Adult Learning and Human Development.
